Where to Donate to Help LA Wildfire Victims

The devastating wildfires in Southern California have left many LA area residents homeless and without the necessary resources needed to restore their communities.

We’ve compiled a list of ways to help fight the fires and provide long-term relief to those impacted. Please consider donating if you can — every little bit counts.

1. Help Bring Comfort to Children

Working Mom Notes put together a spreadsheet to help connect children who lost their sentimental stuffed animals with others who may have replacements for the same rare toys.

2. Support Firefighters in the Area

The California Fire Foundation provides aid to firefighters impacted by fire or other natural disasters while also commemorating fallen heroes.

3. Restore Normalcy for Altadena Teen Girls

The Altadena Girls Fire Recovery is collecting funds to help gather clothes, personal items, beauty and hair care products for teenage girls affected by the Eaton Canyon Fire to restore a sense of normalcy in Altadena.

4. Support a Local LA Non-profit

Feed the Streets collects donated food, hygiene products, clothing, and educational items for hand-to-hand distribution, and they’re collecting donations to help their efforts in the LA area.

5. Help Animals Affected by the Fires

Donations to the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation help support animals and pet owners displaced by the wildfires.

6. Donate Items to an Organization in Need

Instacart’s Community Carts program includes a list of LA-based organizations currently in need of everything from canned goods to baby formula. Simply click on an organization, and their most-needed items are available for purchase through Instacart.

7. Support Red Cross Volunteers

Donations to the Red Cross enable volunteers to prepare for, respond, and help people recover from the LA wildfires.

8. Help Provide Medical Supplies

In coordination with local health centers and free clinics, Direct Relief is distributing medications, N95 respirators, and more to impacted communities. 100% of donations go directly to their efforts.

Baby2Baby is distributing diapers, food, formula, water, clothing, blankets, and hygiene products to the most vulnerable children and families affected by the fires.
